In 2022, Kadri Pärnamets’ Choreography of Water was exhibited at Ferrin Contemporary in North Adams, MA. The solo exhibition cast the gallery in a sea of hand-built porcelain cups, vases, and cloud forms to explore earth’s most precious resource: water. Porcelain sculptures, vases, and cups were featured as a meditation on the universal element of water. The exhibition displayed Kadri’s biomorphic, organic vessel forms.
After installing her work in the gallery, Pärnamets stood outside in the rain, looking in on her work: “It’s amazing to me, we all share this substance. Everyone all over the world is sharing the same water.”
Part of this installation led to additional iterations, implementing pieces from her Cups & Vase Series, in which Kadri’s functional forms coalesce into intimate groupings.
